Biography

Born in Paia, Maui, Hawaii in 1947

Dad was US Navy pilot (a “Mustang”), so moved around a lot…lived in Wichita, KS…Monterey, CA…San Diego, CA…Pensacola, FL…Mobile, AL…Chincoteague, VA…Oxnard, CA…then finally back to San Diego after he died in 1959…

High School – San Diego, Saint Augustine, Class of ’65

1970-73 – Founded Synergistic Audio Visual Design to design and install high-end sound systems for residential customers primarily in Ranch Sante Fe and north-coastal San Diego County

1972-79 – Founded Audio Construction Incorporated which was a systems integrator of security and communications systems in San Diego and Southern California – similar in nature to the activities of Construction Electronics Incorporated which is described below. I was responsible for engineering and operations.

1977 – BA in Industrial Psychology, San Diego State University, Minor – Economics

1979-89 – Joined S.H.E. Corporation which subsequently evolved into Biomagnetic Technologies Incorporated (BTi)…I ended up as Director of Operations and responsible for manufacturing the $2M Neuromagnetometer – vertical integration included a full machine shop, fiberglass vacuum construction, sensing and control electronics assembly and test, production control, materials management, documentation control, manufacturing engineering, final test and installation/commissioning on-site. Below is a brief outline on the early days of BTi.

1986 – Master of Science, Business Administration – Information Systems, San Diego State University

1990-present – President/Owner…joined Construction Electronics Incorporated where I grew the company to the position as premier systems integrator for security and communications in San Diego and Southern California during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.
